An important update
Dear everyone,
It is with immense gratitude that I reflect on the years of service achieved through Operation Paper Crane. We've mobilized over 50 volunteers from across the United States and Canada, folded over 5000 cranes, and contributed over 1000 service hours. It has been an honor of a lifetime to lead this organization and I am so proud of all our work. We've made an impact, however big or small, in shaping our communities to be more service-oriented, more loving, and more giving.
After careful deliberation, it has come time to suspend all operations, as I will be heading off to college. I encourage you all to continue doing good in your community—use your talents to spread kindness. Our world needs that more than ever before.
With gratitude,
Brandon Liu

Our Mission
Started in January 2021
It's simple. Create 1000 paper cranes.
An ancient Japanese pastime, paper cranes have been gifts of peace, love, and hope throughout generations. They symbolize good luck and good fortune.
According to legend, if one makes 1000 paper cranes, they will be granted one single wish. Community members make one thousand cranes to send warm wishes to someone. To make them feel better, feel loved, or feel appreciated.
Paper cranes are so lightweight, yet so heavy in their meaning.
I hope you will be encouraged to join and be a light in our community.
Thank you so much.
